Virgin Playwrights continues on December 14th!
Reading Kathya Alexander’s Homegoing.
Set in Rural Arkansas, Homegoing chronicles the return of June Bug, a struggling musician, to his mother’s house after 15 years of absence. After his mother falls suddenly ill, he has no choice but to rush back to his roots, new wife and all, and face a family who have never met the man that he’s become. As the family tries to come to terms with June Bug’s new way of life, June Bug questions his long disconnection and who he has become.

Aimed at fostering community by giving new playwrights the chance to further their
artists process, the Virgin Playwrights program will provide playwrights with actors,
a director, a space, and an audience for the purpose of producing a one-
This program will take place on the 2nd Sunday of every other month at Stone Soup Theatre, so we will be accepting submissions continuously until further notice.
