My name is Caleb Anthony Penn and I’m am one of the two founders of Backwards Ensemble Theater Company. I grew up in a town called Suquamish, which is in all actuality an Indian reservation located on the Kitsap Peninsula. Being a person of Irish descent, it was, shall we say interesting growing up on a reservation. But it taught me many things; to believe in myself, to rely on others, yet still be able to function if I find myself alone, and most importantly to never give up. I have a goal for my life and for this company and there is nothing on this planet that could ever stand in my way. You can doubt your talent, you can doubt your passion, you can doubt your ability, but don’t ever question your determination to achieve your only dream.
