History
Backwards Company began as the brain child of Caleb Penn in 2005. During his freshman year at Cornish College, he recruited over a dozen people to help him create his first show, Dreams, Oh Dreams. This 40-minute long piece was about pursuing dreams and battling oppressive doctrines, and was the perfect show to represent Backwards Company’s point of view. Three years later, the company stands strong on these values and is launching its first full season.
